Analysis

Liger Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast and Crew

Liger starts off on a regular note. The introduction fight of Vijay Deverakonda is designed well and it sounds interesting. But the predictable stuff throughout makes the film a boring watch. Some of the episodes between Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya are loud and cringy. Ramya Krishna delivers a decent performance throughout. Vijay Deverakonda's hard work is clearly visible on screen. The songs are neither good to listen and they are very bad on screen. The interval episode is decent. On the whole, the first half of Liger is a mixed bag. It is neither great nor too boring.

The second half of Liger is disastrous. The film offers nothing except Vijay Deverakonda carrying himself on screen. The action episodes, love story, songs and everything sounds pathetic. Puri Jagannadh will be blamed completely for his poor work. Even the love story and emotional episodes are uninteresting. The film dips down badly after the introduction of Mike Tyson. The pre-climax and the climax episodes make the film more worse. Even Vijay Deverakonda and his screen presence, and performance cannot save Liger. It is a huge opportunity that is completely wasted.

Performance

Vijay Deverakonda delivers a top-notch performance throughout the film. The actor transformed himself and his hard work is seen. He will be a treat to watch for his fans. His stammering tone is ok to some extent and it turns bad in the second half. The cuss words are muted completely and this makes no difference. Ananya Pandey is a disappointment. She could not carry the role well and she is limited for skin show. Ramya Krishna has a good role and the actress delivered her best as usual. Mike Tyson has nothing much to offer and his role is completely a wasted one. Vishu Reddy is good with his screen presence. All the other actors did their parts with perfection.

Liger has a predictable plot and the film offers nothing. The screenplay and the dialogues are badly written. Puri Jagannadh is completely responsible for the film's bad stuff and predictable narration. The songs are below average and they are badly shot, and presented. The cinematography work is good. The makers did not spend lavishly on the film. Most of the filming happened in sets. The production values are ok. Puri Jagannadh's cringy and lazy writing makes Liger a dud.

Final Word

Liger is a wasted attempt from Puri Jagannadh and his team. The film has a pathetic second half and this film can be given a skip.
